Pediatric Psychiatrist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders affecting children, adolescents, and their families. Diagnoses disorders, including nature and extent, determines the appropriate course of treatment, and discusses these treatment plans with the child or adolescent and the responsible adults. Being a Pediatric Psychiatrist prescribes medication when necessary. May need to act as an advocate for the best interests of the patient. Additionally, Pediatric Psychiatrist requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Qualifications:
Prior Dental Assistant experience - 2 years preferred
Licensed EFDA
Sealant Certified
X-ray certified
Strong interpersonal/relationship skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
Positive attitude and demeanor
Team Orientated
Self Motivated
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Dental software knowledge is helpful
Responsibilities:
Provide outstanding customer service, excellent chair side manner
Assist the doctors with all dental procedures
Keep treatment rooms stocked, neat and organized
Be efficient, be present, engaged, ready to work at all assigned shift times
Maintain a high standard of clean treatment rooms and office
Review patient chart prior to start of day
Maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance
Follow organizations safety policies and procedures
Have knowledge and understanding of dental terminology
Verify patient health history
Assist with other office duties as requested or needed
Maintain strict compliance with State and Federal regulations
Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:30 am- 5:30 pm & Friday 8:30am - 3:00pm
Compensation: $30,000-$45,000 depending on PT/FT, experience, and benefits enrolled in (health insurance, dental insurance, 401k)
