Relative Dynamics Inc. is seeking to hire a Systems Administrator to support end users on various issues. Identify, research and resolve technical problems.
What You'll Get to Do:
Analyzes and resolves software/hardware matters of significance pertaining to networking connectivity issues, printer, servers, and applications to meet business needs
Applies operating system and software updates, patches, and configuration changes
Adds, removes, or updates user account information and resets passwords
Performs system performance tuning
Responsible for security of systems in the lab
Performs backups
Analyzes system logs and identifies potential issues with computer systems
Troubleshoots any reported problems
Ensures that the network infrastructure is up and running
Answers technical queries
Researches, develops, and recommends technical solutions in support of software and hardware sustainment/development activities
Develops and updates documentation to include software and hardware lists, user manuals, and engineering drawings
Prepares purchase requests for consumables, hardware, and software as needed
Responds to and resolves environmental alarms
Performs other duties as assigned
What You'll Need:
Required Experience:
BS degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
2 years' experience with computer systems or networking and systems administration experience supporting Windows and Linux
Experience with any or all the following operating systems; VMS, AIX, Solaris, and IRIX desired
Experience with virtualization using VMWare ESXi servers desired
Experience with CISCO routers, switches and Advanced Security Appliances desired
Experience with McAfee (Intel) firewalls desired
Experience with the LogRhythm Security Information and Event Manager (SIEM) desired?
