Pension Administrator, Sr. jobs in Killeen, TX

• Provide technical assistance to users and maintain management of several applications and servers for the AS/400
• Responsible for Operating System Upgrades, PTF's and Performance Management
• Responsible for System backup and maintaining Vision MiMiX replications.
• Monitor AS400 performance and resources
• Provide weekly reports on usage and DASD management
• Responsible for contacting vendor support for hardware or software issues to resolve any problems
• Support Horizon banking application on the AS/400 system
• Work with AS400 devices and configurations including setting up terminals, printers, printer writers, etc.
• Install software and patches for the AS400 operating system, Horizon application, Workswright Per Zip and other system hardware and software

• Must be able to remain in a sitting and/or standing position for extended periods of time
• May require frequent walking and mobility to bend and reach
• Constantly operate a computer and other office machinery
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Requirements

• 5 years of experience on the iSeries
• At least 18 years of age
• Extensive knowledge of the i5/OS and OS/400 operating systems
• Extensive experience with day-to-day System i administration, i.e. preventative maintenance, problem determination and resolution, high-level system monitoring
• Experience with System i O/S upgrades
• Experience with System i PTF maintenance
• Familiarity with reviewing job logs, history logs, etc.
• Light CL programming skills
• Familiarity with the System i LPAR environment
• Experience using the iSeries Hardware Management Console.
• Experience using Help Systems Robot products.
• Trouble Resolution
• Ability to manage multiple issues and priorities simultaneously
• Ability to coordinate support with other technical areas
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with management and associates
• Must successfully pass background investigation and drug screen according to company policy
• Must be able to get along with co-workers and work effectively in a team environment
