Percussion Instrument Repairers and Tuners jobs in Erie, PA

Percussion Instrument Repairers and Tuners repairs percussion instruments, such as drums, cymbals, and xylophones. Removes drum tension rod screws and rods by hand or using drum key. Being a Percussion Instrument Repairers and Tuners may be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Requires 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Additionally, Percussion Instrument Repairers and Tuners is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager.   • The Instrument man’s primary function is to assist Party Chief with survey operations. The Instrument man is responsible for total station setup and operating electronic data collectors. All project survey points must be retained for company records and archived. In addition the Instrument Man will assist with multiple project sites, safety for himself and others around him.

    • Assist in the Survey Layout operation
    • Experience using Total Stations and /or GPS equipment
    • Recording data points into a surveyor’s logbook
    • Completing all tasks assigned by Supervisors
    • Using hand held tools for various tasks
    • Understanding project blueprints
    • Calculating information using basic math skills
    • Operating a company vehicle
