Seiler Instrument & Mfg. Co., Inc. is looking for a full-time direct hire Infrastructure Monitoring Specialist in the territories of Illinois, Missouri, or Michigan. This individual will primarily focus on bringing the Trimble Monitoring branded technologies to market by proving training to show our team and the end user how the monitoring technologies can be applied to solve real world Monitoring challenges and needs.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in achievement of overall revenue targets for the regional team by keeping up to date on competitor, manufacturer product offerings (features, benefits and customer interest in these products) in the region, report information internally together with recommendations as required
• Assist in the design of the monitoring project with high level technical expertise with the latest Survey and Monitoring products and solutions, and related surveying and monitoring applications.
• Participation and assistance in customer demonstrations and presentations, trade shows, road shows and user group events
• Providing structured and informal training on products, technology and application of technology.
• Assistance in preparation of tender documents and specifications
• Recommendations as needed on product configurations, part numbers, and options as required to suit customer needs and applications.
• Creating solutions for workflows with strong problem-solving skills.

Education and/or Experience:

• Technical Knowledge- having achieved a satisfactory level of technical and professional skill or knowledge in a position-related area; keeping up with current developments and trends in areas of expertise.
• Communication – Clearly conveying information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message.
• 4 year college degree in Geomatics, surveying, engineering, or a degree in business with a demonstrated ability to learn and apply technology. A Surveying or Engineering professional license can be substituted in lieu of a 4 year degree.
• 5 years’ experience in surveying and/or Monitoring applications and/or in surveying instrument industry (survey distributor and/or manufacturer).
