Position: Warehouse Personnel/Driver
Reports to: Warehouse Manager
Objective: Efficiently and safely move community donations and goods between LISTEN Thrift Stores. Process recycling, scrap metal, and trash as appropriate. Assist in building and maintaining a positive work environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Inventory Management
Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager, deliver products and inventory to stores as needed. Efficiently move processed store donations among sorting, storage, and sales areas. Follow standard guidelines to ensure the security of LISTEN’s inventory. Assist with waste stream management by effectively processing recycling, scrap metal, and trash.
Trucking and Equipment Operation
Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager, arrange for the pick-up and delivery of large donations. Safely and responsibly operate all LISTEN vehicles and warehouse equipment. Inform Warehouse Manager of any maintenance needs.
Donor and Community Relations
Display courteous and professional behavior toward donors, volunteers, and staff. Thank donors and provide tax receipts upon request. Provide clear and consistent information to the public about donating to LISTEN. When necessary, decline donations courteously.
Other
Attend staff meetings. Assist Warehouse Manager with site maintenance tasks to offer safe buildings for clients, customers, and staff. Perform other duties at the discretion of the Warehouse Manager.
Minimum Requirements

Experience: Previous experience working in warehouse operations and/or professional driving experience is preferred.
Cognitive Skills: Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively and professionally with coworkers and donors. The employee is frequently required to use written communication and is occasionally required to use math skills. Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people, while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to be on their feet, walking and standing. The employee is frequently required to reach, handle (hold, grasp, turn, or otherwise work with hand or hands), finger (picking, pinching, fine manipulation). The employee is frequently required to bend, squat, climb stairs, push, and pull. The employee is occasionally required to crouch, kneel, crawl, balance, twist, stretch and sit. The employee is frequently required to lift and/or move between 50-75lbs and minimally required to lift and/or move between 75-100 lbs.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be continuously exposed to noise and will occasionally be exposed to fumes, dust, and debris. The employee will also experience various seasonal temperatures while working in a warehouse environment with some, but not total, environmental control.
