Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. Hiring is the most important activity related to Human Resources—and your job will be to make sure we’re doing it right.
The Office of Human Resources is seeking an individual with strong analytical and communication skills and a passion for Human Resources to serve as a Personnel Liaison. You will have the opportunity to work closely with managers within the department, as well as provide analytical support to other analysts. In the process, you will learn a significant amount about the hiring process at the Department of Justice as well as how to think strategically and proactively about staffing and a variety of hiring support functions. Specific examples of duties include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate and monitor all hiring processes.
- Provide human resources related analytical support to managers.
- Research past and best practices, laws/rules, and bargaining unit contracts.
- Draft and edit justification packages and duty statements.
- Create and maintain detailed organizational charts.
- Schedule fingerprint and badge appointments.
- Provide support to the analysts within the Classification Services Unit.
- Determine transfer eligibility and calculate salary determinations.
This is a remote centered opportunity. However, applicants MUST live within a commutable distance from the office in order to account for schedule flexibility.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $3,640.00 - $5,916.00 per month
