Duties

• Inspect grounds, buildings, and storage areas on the installation to maintain awareness of pest presence.
• Determine the appropriate method of pest controls to areas with pest problems.
• Provide pest management information and support to a wide range of personnel on the installation.
• Serve as the representative for pest control contracts.
• Plan and carry out gardening work based on project plans, master landscape, long-range facility plans, and supervisor guidance, making independent judgments within the framework of good gardening practices.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position meets the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. Detection of the presence of drugs is warranted. This position is subject to a pre-employment screening and random testing.
• This position requires you to be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
• This position is a Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban commonly referred to as Lautenberg Amendment. This act bans individuals convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence and certain others from possession or access to firearms or ammunition.
• This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
• This position requires you possess and maintain a valid stateside driver's license.
• Incumbent must possess or acquire a DoD Pesticide Applicator license within one year of employment.
