Petroleum Network Cable Installer:

We are seeking an organized, reliable, and driven network cable technician to work as part of our field service team to install, troubleshoot, and repair various voice and data cables for gas stations located throughout New England. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high-quality service and excited by complex problems and challenges.

Cable Technician Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair network cable systems, used for communications at gas stations
  
• Test and troubleshoot issues with network communication
  
• Conduct thorough inspections of cable lines to ensure the system is working correctly
  
• Pull, route, or label CAT5 or CAT6 cable
  
• Install various support structures, including cable racks, j-hooks, innerduct, and other related structures
  
• Communicate and collaborate with other members of the field service team to resolve complex issues
  
• Provide high-quality service to all customers
  

Cable Technician Requirements and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
  
• 1 years of experience installing, maintaining, and repairing cable for network communications
  
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history
  
• Strong knowledge of industry standard cable specifications
  
• Communication skills with the ability to successfully collaborate with other members of the team
  
• Solid problem solving capabilities
  
• Commitment to abiding by OSHA and all other safety standards and procedures
  
• Ability to identify different colors and learn color codes
  
• Ability to work at heights and lift 50 pounds
  

Benefits:

• $18-$21 per hour.  Overtime after 40 hours.
