Adheres to JCAHO standards for Home Care and complies with all regulatory guidelines and procedures. Additionally, Pharmacist - Home Care requires a doctorate degree in pharmacy (Pharm.D.). The Pharmacist Director will support this district hospital’s pharmaceutical efforts. This Hospital specializes in a broad range of patient care such as trauma, cancer, stroke and rehabilitation. Ranking as top 20 Critical Access Hospitals, the Acute Care Pharmacist will be joining an amazing team at a newly renovated hospital.
The Acute Care Pharmacist Director will work in collaboration with the tenured Chief Executive Officer and other healthcare leaders. The Hospital Pharmacist will oversee an exceptional Pharmacist Technician and a part time Hospital Pharmacist. This is a small yet mighty team who have worked together for many years. Additionally, the Acute Care Pharmacist Director will work with experienced MD’s, tenured Nurse Practitioners and supportive Physicians. The Hospital Pharmacist Director will support inpatient, ambulatory, cancer and orthopedic patients.
The Acute Care Pharmacist Director will lead the operation and management of this rural healthcare system. The Pharmacist Directors expertise will guide the pharmacy policies and procedures ensuring quality care for each patient. Drug procurement, distribution, storage and administration will also be the Pharmacist Director’s responsibility. The Hospital Pharmacist Director will continue to monitor the patient's progress and evaluate the appropriateness and effectiveness of the patient's medication. By working in collaboration with patient’s physicians and other providers the team will create a care plan for individuals.
