Pharmacist Manager jobs in Washington, DC
Pharmacist Manager manages a group of pharmacists who, under the direction of a physician, compound and dispense prescribed drugs in a retail or healthcare facility environment. Oversees daily pharmacy operations. Being a Pharmacist Manager monitors and audits drug inventory, ensures compliance with all regulatory guidelines and reporting. Requires a bachelor's degree in pharmacy or a Pharm.D. Additionally, Pharmacist Manager requires Registered Pharmacist (RPh). Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Pharmacist Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Pharmacist Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. HealthCare Support is actively seeking a Pharmacist to fill an opening with a Closed Door Pharmacy in Prince Frederick, MD.
Daily Responsibilities for Pharmacist – Site Manager:- Collaborate with a team of pharmacists, billing, and order entry technicians to fulfill medication orders for residents in partnered Mental Health facility.
- Supervise small team of professionals to meet prescription order requirements.
- Monday-Friday 8:30-5pm
- Lunch from 1-1:30p
- Lunch from 1-1:30p
- PharmD required
- Active, Unencumbered Pharmacist License in Maryland
- 2 years of experience as a Licensed Pharmacist
Preferred Qualifications for Pharmacist:- Experience with drugs for mental health treatment preferred
- Leadership experience as a Supervisor or Site Manager preferred
