Pharmacy Director directs, establishes, and plans the overall policies and goals for a hospital or healthcare facility's pharmacy services. Maintains contact with other department heads, medical staff, and nursing staff to determine needs, resolve problems, improve processes, and promote effective drug therapy. Being a Pharmacy Director requires a bachelor's degree in pharmacy. Typically requires Registered Pharmacist (RPh). Additionally, Pharmacy Director typically reports to a top management. The Pharmacy Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Job Summary:
The 340B Pharmacy Director reports to the Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer and is responsible for Health Center Pharmacy Operations oversight and 340B program compliance growth and financial oversight. Provides oversight of the Pharmacy’s Management Service Provider (MSP), 340B Management Vendor and contracted pharmacies. Develops and maintains policies and procedures based on Federal guidelines and ensures compliance. Monitors program income to develop projections and trends and reports to Senior Management. Negotiate and maintain all 340B related contracts. Continuous improvement of program operations to enhance and optimize the program.
