PHARMACIST IN CHARGE Job Overview
Pharmacist In Charge is responsible for managing all aspects of pharmacy services. Perform all duties in compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations.
Essential Functions
· Read, interpret, and enter prescriptions into the online pharmacy prescription system.
· Review medication orders to evaluate accurate and appropriate drug choice, interactions, route of administration, and length of therapy.
· Supervise Pharmacy Technician(s) and support staff.
· Compound, fill, and dispense medications safely and efficiently.
· Recruits, trains, coaches, and supervises pharmacy staff.
· Assist customers with medical-related issues, provide counseling to patients, and give direction to other care providers.
· Interact with patients, nurses, and physicians to gain knowledge and/or resolve patient issues.
· Establish and maintain patient profiles and their prescription information to ensure up-to-date records.
· Participates in on-call after-hour needs
· Comply with all federal and state laws, regulations, security measures, and quality standards.
· Upholds operational standards, including performance metrics, safety, and compliance
· Ability to become licensed in multiple States
· Reside in the Portland area
· Some weekend availability and minimal travel

· Previous experience managing and operating a pharmacy
