Pharmacy Director jobs in Wichita, KS
Pharmacy Director directs, establishes, and plans the overall policies and goals for a hospital or healthcare facility's pharmacy services. Maintains contact with other department heads, medical staff, and nursing staff to determine needs, resolve problems, improve processes, and promote effective drug therapy. Being a Pharmacy Director requires a bachelor's degree in pharmacy. Typically requires Registered Pharmacist (RPh). Additionally, Pharmacy Director typically reports to a top management. The Pharmacy Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Pharmacy Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Located in Wichita, KS, our closed-door pharmacy serves local nursing homes, group homes and other similar facilities. We have an immediate need for an experienced Full-Time LTC Pharmacy Technician. Hours between 8am-5pm Monday - Friday, and rotating weekends 8am-12pm.
The listed opportunity for a production pharmacy technician includes preparing and filling bubble cards and medications for delivery, stocking shelves, and preparing sterile and non-sterile compounded medications. Candidates must display attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and ability to learn Framework LTC Software. Must be a Kansas Registered Pharmacy Technician, or become registered once hired. Nationally Certified Technician and previous work experience in a Long Term Care pharmacy is preferred. Will train the right person.
