The Hospice Account Manager is responsible for effectively providing problem-solving and technical support to pharmacy, account management, and clinical staff to ensure all functions run smoothly.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

• Serve as the service and process liaison between ProCare Hospice Care and ProCare Pharmacy Care
• Assure the correction and completion of any identified incorrect mail orders that need corrections to process.
• Assist clinical pharmacists with order entry as needed.
• Monitor and manage undelivered mail order shipments through to completion.
• Review, research and provide root cause analysis of all PHC related errors, issue, and complaints; and make recommendations to resolve each.
• Communicate daily/weekly with Vice President and Manager of Hospice Operations concerning the status of new and existing issues.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Answer and efficiently resolve questions from hospice staff regarding patients’ real time medication needs.
• Accurate data entry of patient eligibility and drug coverage rules.
• Research and resolve questions on claims payments.
• Ensure response time requirements are met.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) Certification or bachelor degree required
• Must have knowledge of pharmacy/medical claims process.
• Extensive customer service experience.
• Must be flexible regarding work hours
• Must be computer proficient and demonstrate the ability to rapidly learn new computer programs. .xls, .doc, .ppt, etc.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and verbal/written communication skills.
• Highly organized and motivated.
• Ability to prioritize and reprioritize throughout the day.
• Process implementation skills preferred
• Presentation skills
• Must exhibit high level of time management
• Can be productive in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong analytical skills/mathematical ability

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Position requires siting, standing and occasional light to medium lifting.
