Job Summary:
Responsible for the coordination, training and implementation of all computerized systems within the Roper St. Francis Healthcare Pharmacy Departments. Develop, execute and train applicable staff on the policies and procedures of all computerization within the Pharmacy departments as well as any affected ancillary areas. Provide professional pharmaceutical care for Roper St. Francis Healthcare inpatients and outpatients by establishing, practicing, and promoting high standards of quality care.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science or Arts Degree AND 2 years of pharmacy experience AND a minimum of 4 years healthcare related information systems experience OR a Graduate of an accredited A.C.P.E. College of Pharmacy AND 2 years of pharmacy experience AND a minimum of 2 years healthcare related information systems experience.
Licensure/Certification: If professional licensure/certification is required, i.e. RPh, then licensure requirements must be maintained.

Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of Pharmacy Information Systems and comprehension of basic computer skills is required. Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills are essential. Knowledge of professional pharmacy practices. Knowledge of hospital pharmacy medication distribution systems. Skill in reading and interpreting the English language. Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions. Skill in establishing and maintaining an effective working relationship with patients, hospital/medical staff, and the public. Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures. Ability to communicate clearly.
