Pharmacy Service Clerk jobs in Altoona, PA
Pharmacy Service Clerk is responsible for performing daily, routine tasks in the pharmacy such as answering the phone, responding to customer requests, data entry, record maintenance, and other clerical duties. Follows organization and department procedures to complete tasks in a timely manner. Being a Pharmacy Service Clerk assists with stocking and inventory tasks. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Pharmacy Service Clerk typically reports to a supervisor. The Pharmacy Service Clerk possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Summary:
AS THE RETAIL PHARMACY CLERK, you will be responsible to the retail pharmacy manager. Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist you will assist customers at check-out utilizing a comprehensive POS System, as well as clean and organize the OTC (Over-the-Counter) medication section of the store and the areas where durable medical equipment are stored.Other information:
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience working in a retail setting preferred
- Typing/computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Prior inventory experience
