Pharmacy Service Clerk jobs in New Britain, CT
Pharmacy Service Clerk is responsible for performing daily, routine tasks in the pharmacy such as answering the phone, responding to customer requests, data entry, record maintenance, and other clerical duties. Follows organization and department procedures to complete tasks in a timely manner. Being a Pharmacy Service Clerk assists with stocking and inventory tasks. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Pharmacy Service Clerk typically reports to a supervisor. The Pharmacy Service Clerk possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Basic Duties include (but not limited to)
- Having the ability to accurately work a register and credit card terminal
- Working a busy pharmacy counter and assisting customers with purchases, prescriptions and various pharmacy services
- Answering phones & making calls to Doctor's offices
- Communicating via the phone with the facilities we service
- Checking in orders (as needed)
Qualifications
- Experience in a pharmacy is not required but preferred.
- One year experience in customer service and math is required. Excellent math and customer service skills along with the ability to multitask are musts!!
- The ability to stand for extended periods of time is required.
- All prospective candidates must fill out an application and pass a background check.
- Schedule is as follows:
**Sat. 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm, Sun. 8:00 am - 1:00 pm and Mon. 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.50 per hour
