Position Overview:

Hidenwood Pharmacy seeks a dedicated and customer-oriented individual to join our pharmacy team as a Pharmacy Cashier. As a clerk, you will be crucial in ensuring smooth and efficient operations at the pharmacy counter. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their purchases, processing transactions accurately, and maintaining a well-organized and welcoming environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Greet customers with a friendly demeanor and provide prompt assistance. Answer customer inquiries about products, services, and general pharmacy information knowledgeably and courteously.
• Transaction Processing: Accurately and efficiently process prescription and over-the-counter medication sales and other products. Following established procedures, handling cash, credit/debit card transactions, and insurance claims.
• Product Knowledge: Develop a basic understanding of common medications and health-related products to assist customers with purchasing decisions. Collaborate with pharmacy staff to enhance your product knowledge.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with the pharmacy team to relay customer feedback, inquiries, and issues. Collaborate with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to provide seamless customer service.
• Privacy and Confidentiality: Adhere to strict confidentiality and privacy standards when handling customer information, prescription details, and other sensitive data.
• Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting pharmacy counter area. Ensure that shelves and displays are well-stocked and neat at all times.

Qualifications:

• Previous cashier or customer service experience is preferred.
• Basic mathematical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and theability to multitask.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical products and health-related items is a plus.
• Proficiency in using cash registers and point-of-sale systems.
• Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-stress situations.
• Commitment to maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality.

Working Conditions:

• The position involves standing for extended periods and occasionally lifting moderately heavy objects.
• The role may require evening, weekend, and holiday shifts to accommodate pharmacy operating hours.

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
