Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information. Being a Pharmacy Technician receives and stocks incoming supplies. May prepare labels and routine prepacked orders. Additionally, Pharmacy Technician may be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. May require Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). The Pharmacy Technician possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications and over-the-counter products
- Prepare and package medications accurately and efficiently
- Perform inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Adhere to all pharmacy regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information
Pay: (depending on the role and experience)
$15-$17/hour possible commission
