Pharmacy Technician assists a registered pharmacist with support activities and processes required to dispense medical prescriptions. Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information. Being a Pharmacy Technician receives and stocks incoming supplies. May prepare labels and routine prepacked orders. Additionally, Pharmacy Technician may be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. May require Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). The Pharmacy Technician possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. May require 0-1 year of general work experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

Applicants should have strong communication and organizational skills. National Pharmacy Technician certification is preferred but not required. Must become Nationally certified within one year of employment.
Responsibilities for this position include:
- Data entry
- Customer interaction
- Inventory management
- Assist in directing daily workflow
- Resolving rejected insurance claims
Store hours are 9:00 am to 5:30 pm Monday - Friday and 9:00 am to noon on Saturdays. Will work every 3-4 weeks in the Saturday rotation. The pharmacy is closed on Sundays and all major holidays.
