Pharmacy Technician assists a registered pharmacist with support activities and processes required to dispense medical prescriptions. Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information. Being a Pharmacy Technician receives and stocks incoming supplies. May prepare labels and routine prepacked orders. Additionally, Pharmacy Technician may be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. May require Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). The Pharmacy Technician possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Attention to details, with perfection, in receiving, input, filling, labeling, and packing of prescription medication. Cross training is required for the candidate to know the detal and intricacies of our pharmacy workflow; placing orders, receiving orders, accepting orders to perpetual inventory. Experience with Parata Max and the use of Kirby counting machines is a plus. Excellent customer service skills are required; our customers pay us. Experience with cash registers; you will be required to ring up prescriptions. All other duties as assigned by management.
