Pharmacy Technician jobs in New London, CT

McQuade's Pharmacy is a family-owned independent full-service retail pharmacy with a non-sterile compounding lab. We are looking for a motivated candidate to join our pharmacy team. Strong customer service skills are a must. Applicants are required to have completed a High School degree and be of 18 years of age to apply.

Candidates should have at least a year of retail pharmacy experience to apply and be registered with the RI Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician. We are willing to provide on-the-job training for the right candidate. This position is for a part time associate to work with our team on our expanding blister packing service.

Afternoons/nights and Saturdays are required

Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Blister pack medications for group homes, long term care facilities, and independent care patients
• Contacting providers to communicate start dates, verify medication changes, etc
• File away prescriptions and other paperwork
• Work effectively at point of sale and be accountable for the cash register
• Promote store products and services
• Maintain a clean and friendly environment at our pharmacy
• Readily accept new responsibilities and changes in the pharmacy

Job Type: Part time (15 hours)
