Medicap Pharmacy is looking for full-time Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you are a vital part of the day to day operations of the pharmacy and the care and service provided to our customers. Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have an active Oregon Board of Pharmacy License
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Basic keyboarding/typing skills
• Ability to use and understand verbal and written communication to interact with customers and colleagues
• At lease one professional reference

Preferred Qualifications

• National Certification or ability to obtain before initial Oregon license expiration
• Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
• Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Experience with PioneerRX is a plus

Job Duties of a Pharmacy Technician include

• Assisting the pharmacist in preparing medications for patients
• Receiving and verifying prescriptions
• Transcribing and entering prescription information into a computer
• Entering insurance information and claim processing to insurance companies
• Referring customers to the pharmacist for questions or recommendations
• Stocking and pricing of inventory (both prescription and over-the-counter)
• Adhering to HIPAA, OSHA, Code of Conduct, and Fraud Waste and Abuse policies and procedures
• Assisting customers at the register/drive-thru window
• Preparing prescriptions for delivery
• Answering/making phone calls
• Maintaining a clean and organized work place

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
