Pharmacy Technician assists a registered pharmacist with support activities and processes required to dispense medical prescriptions. Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information. Being a Pharmacy Technician receives and stocks incoming supplies. May prepare labels and routine prepacked orders. Additionally, Pharmacy Technician may be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. May require Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). The Pharmacy Technician possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Registered Pharmacy Technician / Pharmacist Intern (St. Petersburg & Pinellas Park Area) We are seeking to recruit a Florida registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist Intern in one of our independent pharmacy located at Saint Petersburg. **to be registered with Florida board of pharmacy is a MUST. The Job Responsibilities Includes. -Receive written prescription or refill requests and verify that information. -Answer telephones, responding to questions or requests. -Fill bottles with prescribed medications and type and affix labels. -Maintain drug inventory and place drug orders. -Keep the work environment and equipment clean. -Process medical insurance claims and accept payments. ALSO -Great Customer Service skills -Great verbal and written communication skills -Willing to assist with deliveries when necessary -Experience in a long-term care is preferred but not necessary.
