We are looking for a PART-TIME (eventually transition to FULL-TIME) pharmacy technician to to join our team! Flexible shifts are needed; both day, night, and some weekend shifts 24-32 hours per week available. Experience not required, but preferred. Prefer someone motivated to immunize or that already is certified to immunize. If you are not we can train you! Must be able to do simple math in a quick and efficient manner. Must be a good multitasker.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):
- Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer satisfaction by exhibiting care, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store.
- Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the associate’s designated department or elsewhere in the store.
- Genuinely thanks each customer and invites them back.
- Under the supervision of the Pharmacist, takes all steps required to accurately fill the prescription in compliance with all laws, regulations, physician orders and company policies and procedures regarding the sale of pharmaceuticals.
- Maintains a professional and friendly manner with all patients when responding to their requests or when necessary referring them to the Pharmacists.
- Answers the phone promptly and courteously; refers phone requests from physicians, patients, and others which require a pharmacist’s knowledge, to the pharmacists.
- Accepts the written prescription or refill information from patients confirms completeness of patient record and requests missing information as appropriate, and retrieves the patient’s pharmacy record(s) for verification by the pharmacists.
- Applies basic prescription reading skills to the written prescription upon data entry. Basic prescription reading skills include: dosage form differentiation, directions, pharmacy calculations and product recognition.
- Accesses the pharmacy computer to obtain complete patient record (on both cash and third party prescriptions) and verifies third party parameters.
- Accurately inputs, accesses, processes, and retrieves data from the pharmacy computer, including speed codes and drug interaction data, as state laws permit.
- Replenishes pharmacy supply of vials, bottles, bags, and other supplies.
- Fills pharmacy product orders, to specific bay locations where state law allows.
- Operates patient sales register by processing individual patient purchases over the scanner or utilizing a scan gun; accurately reads and records prices for items which will not scan.
- Follows legal requirements with respect to prescription filling, insurance and third party procedures and HIPAA.
- Maintains strict adherence to company guidelines related to personal hygiene, dress code and Department Appearance Standards (DAS).
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures, Safety and Sanitation regulations, and individual store guidelines.
- Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
