Position Summary

Community Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The Pharmacy Technician will perform routine pharmacy tasks under the direct supervision of Pharmacist to provide excellent customer service and to make sure pharmacy runs smoothly and efficiently,As a pharmacy technician you must be detail oriented and reliable.You must possess excellent communication skills as well as aptitude in using computers.The position offers the opportunity to advance your skills and knowledge.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform routine pharmacy tasks including but not limited to sterilizing and cleaning surface of pharmacy and equipments .
• Inventory management
• Receive prescriptions and check their validity.
• process prescriptions and ensure all information is complete and accurate.
• Resolve issues when they arise ( ex. Rx refill requests or insurance rejections)
• Processes all medications in compliance with state regulations and federal guidelines.
• Assists with the counting, labeling and dispensing of medications to patients in a timely manner.
• Assists other team members as needed.
• Adheres to safety policies and procedures.
• Maintains a positive attitude and provides excellent customer service to patients,
• Undertake administrative tasks (record keeping etc) as assigned.
• comply with security measures and quality standards.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of pharmacy experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of medications and dosage is a plus
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Outstanding organizational skills.
• Reliable with a keen eye for detail.
• certified pharmacy tech is an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
