Pharmacy Technician Supervisor oversees the work of a team of Pharmacy Technicians that assist Pharmacists with the dispensing of medical prescriptions. Monitors daily activities and manages work schedules to ensure that quality, production and customer service standards are maintained. Being a Pharmacy Technician Supervisor may hire, train, and evaluate new employees. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Pharmacy Technician Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Typically requires Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. The role you’ll contribute:
Primary responsibility is the provision of medication distributive functions and pharmacy operational tasks, which includes but is not limited to assisting the pharmacist with all duties of preparing and dispensing of medications, inventory management, and regulatory compliance. Performs duties necessary for the effective daily operation of all department services and programs. Accurately responds to medication dispensing requests, prepares medications for pharmacist final review/check, delivers checked medications, and returns unused or expired medications to appropriate pharmacy areas. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all

Minimum qualifications:
High School degree or equivalent
Applicable Texas State Pharmacy Technician Registration (RPT) OR Current, valid Texas State Pharmacist Intern license
