Pharmacy Technician Supervisor oversees the work of a team of Pharmacy Technicians that assist Pharmacists with the dispensing of medical prescriptions. Monitors daily activities and manages work schedules to ensure that quality, production and customer service standards are maintained. Being a Pharmacy Technician Supervisor may hire, train, and evaluate new employees. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Pharmacy Technician Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Typically requires Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Ouachita County Medical Center has an opening for a Pharmacy Technician for Part Time(1-2 weekdays per week from 8:00AM-5:00pm/every third weekend from 8:00AM-3:00PM).
Essential Duties and Major responsibilities: Works under the direct supervision of a staff pharmacist and assists in all pharmacy operation functions including preparation & distribution of all doses of medication, maintenance of drug inventories, and completion of patient records.
This position requires: High school diploma or GED, and Registration as an Arkansas Pharmacy Technician; Must have Pharmacy tech certification.
1 year experience as a hospital pharmacy tech or related experience is preferred.
The applicant must have strong interpersonal skills, be able to perform well individually and within group settings, have the ability to handle situations professionally and accurately, and must be able to provide care with courtesy, friendliness and respect.
