Collects appropriate venous and arterial blood samples from all age groups. Operates basic equipment and performs waived or moderate complexity lab tests under the supervision of a Technologist. Follows the policies and procedures of the hospital and the lab.
Requirements: High School graduate or equivalent required. Phlebotomy Certificate, Medical Assistant or CNA preferred. One year as a Phlebotomist in a hospital setting preferred. Completion of a Phlebotomy training program preferred. Excellent customer relations skills. Mathematical, verbal, and written skills at the High School level. Near visual and hearing acuity is essential as well as motor coordination.
