Phlebotomist draws and collects blood samples from patients, verifies records and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis. May prick finger to draw blood. Being a Phlebotomist may conduct interviews, take vital signs, and draw and test blood samples to screen donors at blood bank. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, Phlebotomist requires Certification by a nationally recognized body. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Phlebotomist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PHLEBOTOMIST
As a phlebotomist, you will be providing excellent customer service as you welcome walk-in patients, input test orders, and collect blood and other samples, all in a way that creates a healing environment for patients.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or higher
- Customer service experience
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Certified or have experience in phlebotomy
- Basic computer skills
WORK SCHEDULE
This part-time Phlebotomist position typically works 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday-Friday
