Additionally, Phlebotomist requires Certification by a nationally recognized body. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Phlebotomist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Full Job Description:Position Summary:Responsible for collecting patient specimens for clinical analysis. Specimens include blood, body fluid and cultures.
Significant Duties:- Perform venipunctures using various techniques.
- Perform capillary collections.
- Obtain culture specimens from various sources.
- Instruct patients on proper collection of off-site specimens.
- Research specimen requirements for referred tests.
- Inventory and requisition phlebotomy supplies.
- Print patient billing information.
- Attend and actively participate in department meetings.

Qualifications:- Ability and skill required to manage difficult situations.
- Ability to maintain professional attitude and appearance.
- Ability to do multiple tasks in an ever-changing environment.
