Work Location: 811 North B Street, Fort Smith, AR 72902

The Phlebotomy Technician will perform venipuncture and skin punctures competently and expediently. Has thorough knowledge of test requirements.

Veracity Onsite Phlebotomy Technologist Description of Duties and Responsibilities

• Specimen collection and testing requirements and understanding specimen rejection
• Collecting blood specimens through venipuncture methods and skin puncture practices on patients of all ages.
• Completing appropriate specimen collection documentation
• Following established procedures for patients identification and specimen collection
• Educating patients and/or family regarding specimen collection procedures prior to obtaining specimens.

Veracity Onsite Phlebotomy Technologist /Clinical Support Qualifications

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED
• Professional certification in phlebotomy from a recognized program

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to successfully draw blood from patients with minimal or no complications
• Safe work practices in the clinic setting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a large team.
• Ability to work well under pressure and stay calm/focused in emergency situations.
• Ability to make decisions quickly and appropriately.
• Be a highly self-motivated and results-driven individual.
• Proficient with computers and technology.
• Demonstrate professionalism, respect and tact at all times.
• Displays enthusiasm and a positive attitude toward coworkers and all members of the practice.
• Ability to work with diverse groups of people of varying ages, ethnicities, life experience, etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.50 - $22.21 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
