Phlebotomist jobs in Kansas City, KS
Phlebotomist draws and collects blood samples from patients, verifies records and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis. May prick finger to draw blood. Being a Phlebotomist may conduct interviews, take vital signs, and draw and test blood samples to screen donors at blood bank. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, Phlebotomist requires Certification by a nationally recognized body. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Phlebotomist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. We are currently seeking a Full-time Phlebotomist to join our team at Lansing Correctional Center located in Lansing, Kansas.
The Phlebotomist is responsible for drawing blood, checking vital signs, finger stick blood sugars, and assisting with activities of daily living for patients in a correctional healthcare environment.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be certified as a Phlebotomist with verifiable formal training and on-the-job experience as a Phlebotomist
- Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant certification/license preferred, not required
- Current CPR
- Corrections experience preferred, not required
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
