Being a Phlebotomist may conduct interviews, take vital signs, and draw and test blood samples to screen donors at blood bank. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
A phlebotomist works closely with the laboratory staff to obtain and process appropriate samples for testing. They are in charge of labeling and filing paperwork correctly. The phlebotomist has to follow safety protocol in collection of samples.

High school diploma or equivalent. Diploma in Phlebotmy. Medical Assistant with 2 yrs training in phlebotomy preferred. Phlebotomy certification is a plus. BLS required.
