Phlebotomist draws and collects blood samples from patients, verifies records and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis. May prick finger to draw blood. Being a Phlebotomist may conduct interviews, take vital signs, and draw and test blood samples to screen donors at blood bank. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, Phlebotomist requires Certification by a nationally recognized body. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Phlebotomist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Requirements:
Qualified candidates will:- Choose the territory they cover
- Work flexible hours
- Have phlebotomy experience (min. 300 draws)
- Have dependable transportation and auto insurance
- Have access to a computer with internet, printer and a scanner or fax machine daily
- Possess a cell phone
- Be detailed oriented and organized
- Bi-lingual speaking candidates are a plus
