Phlebotomist jobs in Paramus, NJ
Phlebotomist draws and collects blood samples from patients, verifies records and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis. May prick finger to draw blood. Being a Phlebotomist may conduct interviews, take vital signs, and draw and test blood samples to screen donors at blood bank. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, Phlebotomist requires Certification by a nationally recognized body. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Phlebotomist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Pride Health is hiring for a phlebotomist to support our client's healthcare organization in West Nyack, NY. This is a 4 months assignment (possibility of extension or conversion).
Schedule: 1st Shift
Pay rate: $18 to $21/hr (Pay rate depends on experience, expertise and education)Duties:
- Performs blood collection by venipuncture and capillary technique from patients of all age groups
- Performs specimen processing in a safe, accurate, and professional manner.
- Performs order entry; retrieves and verifies patient collection data and patient special notations using appropriate sources.
Education/Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience required.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a HUGE PLUS
