Radio Frequency Identification Equipment Installation Technicians to provide on-site installation, testing, and support for Logistics Associates customers in support of the deployment of RFID equipment. This role involves hands-on training and includes evaluating the customer’s requirements to ensure systems are installed in accordance with technical specifications and customer requirements.
Essential Functions:
- Available to start immediately
- Required ability to travel throughout the Northeast USA region (VA, DC, MD, PA, DE, PA, NJ, NY, RI and MA)

Provide excellent customer service and experience throughout the course of the project
- Interface with cross-functional work teams such as project manager, and customer support/services
- Assist other team members with preparing equipment for installation into multiple vehicle types
- Perform operational testing procedures
- Perform troubleshooting of RFID hardware and software as required
- Be able to work independently or with another team member
- Be able to travel in and around VA, MD, DC, DE, PA, RI, NJ, NY, and MA if requested
- Fill out installation/status reports and track progress
- Install and maintain equipment, such as, antennas, cables, control modules
- Perform hands-on, on-site troubleshooting, service, and repairs
- Consult with vendor engineering personnel as required to resolve unanticipated technical issues
- Maintain accountability of all company assigned equipment and tools
- Familiar with using power tools (drills, impact drivers, etc)

Work Environment: Core work hours are from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. and duties are performed both indoors and outdoors. Varies throughout the Northeast Region of the United States during the winter months.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a limited full-time position and limited to the period of the project, 3 months. There is a potential for additional work beyond 3-6 months, depending on customer requirements and funding. The core workweek is 40 hours, Monday – Thursday, 7:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m., and adjustable to accommodate customer requirements.
Travel: Candidates are required to have their own means of transportation and be available to travel in VA, MD, DC, PA, DE, NJ, RI, MA, and NY. Beginning on 10 Dec, we will use chartered buses Monday thru Friday to transport technicians from main headquarters to work sites in RI and MA.
Preferred Education and Experience
Minimum of High School graduate degree or equivalent
