We are currently seeking a Spray Booth Technician to join our growing Team. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Understands finishing area and equipment
• Follows production schedule for quantities of material needed
• Ensures all mixing supplies needed are available
• Prepares all paint according to paint suppliers’ specifications
• Sands and prepares surface for finishing
• Keeps all tools and mixing equipment clean and organized
• Ensures all solvent containers are full and supply on hand
• Recognizes color and ensures correct color is used
• Communicates effectively with management
• Learns paint specifications for different clients, recognizes any issues with preparation, and notifies management of problems
• Finishes using proper technique and follows instructions according to SOPs
• Learns and understands mechanics of equipment used
• Understands assembly and disassembly of finishing equipment
• Follows directions received from management
• Maintains productive pace
• Works cooperatively with other team members
• Prioritize daily workload to keep all jobs on schedule for on-time pick up and delivery.
• Follows standards for blending formulas, top coat application and curing.
• Works with paint team to mix paints for color specifications
• Maintain all tools and equipment, keep workspace clean and organized and perform routine maintenance for paint booth and booth filters.
• Utilize all required safety equipment and follow proper refinishing procedures in compliance with OSHA guidelines. Wear and use required safety equipment (respirator, eye and skin protectors), handle and dispose of hazardous waste properly.
• Manage, order, and inventory paint and refinish supplies to meet production needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stoop, bend and kneel, squat, kneel and pulling
• Carry and lift heavy objects (up to 50lbs)
• Standing and walking
• Performing repetitive motions
• Visual acuity for color matching

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
