Photo Finishing Technician jobs in Fargo, ND

This is a part-time or temporary non-benefited position.

Description & Details:
Assess jobs for finishing

• Review job ticket
• Determine number of pages per set and if job needs to be cut to a specific size, needs a fold and/or tabbing etc.
• Check size of material to be finished
• See if job requires covers and/or coil binding
• Check if job is to be mailed and if so how to tab, address etc.
• Indicate on large jobs how many pieces are contained in each individual container

Operate power 3-hole drill and floor model stitcher

• Adjust drill and stitcher for size and thickness of paper
• Jog paper to be drilled or stitched
• Sharpen and lubricate drill bits when required
• Box according to job specifications

Operate tabletop and floor model folders

• Determine size and stock to be folded
• Adjust folder for size of sheet and number of folds to be made
• Adjust air vacuum pile height and paper guides on folder
• Fan and jog paper for folding operation
• Continually check accuracy of folders while operating
• Remove and box folded copies according to instructions on job ticket

Operate other finishing equipment and duties

• Utilize the Duplo for scoring and perforating and slitting operations
• Perform the cutting of business cards accurately
• Cut paper and trim jobs when required paper cutter
• Pad jobs that require it both NCR and traditional padding
• Use the shrink wrap machine when required

Other Duties

• Package business cards and other jobs and send to destination according to job ticket
• Do a final quality control check for accuracy of job before shrink wrapping and delivery
• Anything else that is deemed necessary for print production

• Prepare materials for printing
  • Pull StoreFront jobs and select hard copy jobs from basket
  • Match with job ticket
  • Review job ticket for customer specifications
  • Select and inventory paper and toner to complete the job
• Copy materials
  • Operate Print and Copy Services production center copy machines
• Finish projects
  • Use bindery equipment, cutter and other equipment to finish jobs
• Overall
  • Provide basic maintenance or contact maintenance person when needed
  • Provide high-quality work that meets customer needs by their deadline

• Follow safety rules.
• Help identify unsafe working conditions.
• Stop co-workers who are working in an unsafe manner.
• Annually review work space for safety risks including ergonomic issues.
• Avoid hazardous working conditions and take precautionary measures.

Work Schedule:
10-17.5 hrs/week, Monday through Friday

Advertised Pay:
$13-$21/hour depending on experience

Minimum Qualifications:

• Detail-oriented
• Team player
• Use of copiers, industrial cutter, folding machine and other finishing equipment
• Interpersonal and oral communication skills
• Represents Ag Comm PCS professionally
