Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various laboratory settings and possess knowledge of laboratory information management systems and fundamentals of chemistry/ chemical interaction.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily titrations and test to maintain plating tanks within operating parameters
- Maintain accurate records of all annual/ monthly tests, procedures, and results
- Adhere to internal standard operating procedures and manufacturers instructions
- Assist in the development and validation of laboratory procedures
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment to internal and industry standards
- Ensure compliance with approval(s), ADEM, and EPA requirements
- Collaborate with various departments within the organization to troubleshoot problems and propose solutions
- Perform histology procedures as needed
Skills:
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques and chemistry composition
- Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
- Knowledge of ADEM RCRA 300 Hazardous Waste Management
- Experience working in a laboratory setting and best practices
- Strong understanding of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to keep up with time sensitivity testing and requirements
