Job Title:  Operator

Reports To: Supervisor/Field Operations Supervisor

Position Overview: The Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery and equipment on construction sites. As an integral part of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment to support project completion.

1. Equipment Operation: Operate heavy machinery and equipment, such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and forklifts, in a safe and efficient manner.

1. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating equipment, ensuring the safety of yourself, coworkers, and bystanders.

1. Task Execution: Perform assigned tasks with precision and accuracy, following project plans and instructions from supervisors.

1. Maintenance and Inspection: Conduct routine maintenance checks and inspections on equipment, reporting any issues or malfunctions to maintenance personnel.

1. Material Handling: Assist in the loading, unloading, and transportation of materials using equipment, ensuring proper handling and storage.

1. Site Preparation: Assist in site preparation activities, such as grading, leveling, and excavation, to facilitate construction activities.

1. Efficiency Optimization: Optimize equipment usage and productivity through efficient operation and task prioritization.

1. Communication: Maintain clear and open communication with supervisors and team members, providing updates on equipment status and task progress.

1. Safety Awareness: Stay alert to job site hazards and potential risks, taking appropriate measures to mitigate safety concerns.

1. Quality Assurance: Ensure work is performed to high standards of quality and accuracy, contributing to the overall success of the project.

1. Training and Development: Participate in training programs and skill development opportunities to enhance equipment operation skills and knowledge.

• Ability to act on assigned tasks in a swift manner.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clientele, employees, and supervision.
• Knowledge in the use of general construction tools and equipment.
• Desire to uphold the expected quality of Tenax’s service for all clients.
• Exceptional flexibility and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Must have physical stamina and strength to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 90 lbs.
• Must work outside in all different weather conditions including extreme cold and extreme heat.
