Summary
Operate machine(s) as defined in the Machine Operator Manual following all safety procedures. Adjust machinery when operating and ensures machine adjustments or changes of materials is completed in a timely manner.
The Operator must demonstrate a detailed understanding of the quality requirements for the product being produced and able to make adjustments as necessary to achieve maximum quality.
These positions have a direct effect on the quality of our products. The Operator performs minor preventative maintenance (PMs) as necessary evaluates upstream and downstream line dependencies and communicates changes to other operators or line personnel.
This requires strong leadership and demonstrated skills to maintain upstream and downstream line equipment in harmony. Operator evaluates throughput problems and bottlenecks and makes reasonable recommendations to solve the problem.
Reports any problem with the equipment or supplies to their Supervisor, Shift Lead or Team Leader. Troubleshoots equipment effectively, appropriately seeks assistance of a trained Mechanic and explains equipment problems to the mechanic and ask questions if necessary.
