The Food Processing Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, running, adjusting, cleaning, and monitoring their assigned machine, To be a successful packaging machine operator, one needs to have technical skills to operate and troubleshoot machinery, attention to detail for quality control, and a strong focus on safety.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES- Regularly inspect, troubleshoot, and perform preventative maintenance on packaging machinery and equipment to ensure they are operating at peak efficiency.
- Diagnose and repair issues with packaging equipment promptly to minimize downtime.
- Ensure that packaging machines are calibrated correctly to maintain the quality and consistency of packaging materials and products.
- Ensure that all packaging machinery adheres to safety regulations and protocols
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance to track maintenance schedules and identify areas for improvement.
- Operates forklifts to load/unload materials.
- 2 years of previous experience operating manufacturing machinery (required)
- Must have experience operating food processing equipment (Required)
- Mechanical knowledge/aptitude (Required)
- Must have experience with food safety and FDA regulations (Required)
- Understanding of what the machine is for, how it works, and best practices
- Previous experience with plastics injection molding (Required)
1st, 2nd and 3rd shift
Pay Rate: $18/hr to $21/hr
