Physical Therapist jobs in Pensacola, FL

Physical Therapist evaluates and treats patients recovering from injury, disease, surgery, or other ailments. Establishes individualized treatment plans and treats patients using a variety of methods, including exercises, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and equipment. Being a Physical Therapist maintains patient records by keeping track of goals and progress while adapting treatment plans accordingly. Advises patients and their families on in-home treatment options and what to expect from the recovery process. Additionally, Physical Therapist may work with and/or consult with physicians, case managers, and other medical professionals. Requires a doctorate degree in physical therapy. Requires Certified Physical Therapist (CPT). Requires Licensed Physical Therapist (LPT). Typically reports to a manager. The Physical Therapist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     Select Physical Therapy has an immediate need for a compassionate and driven licensed Full Time Physical Therapist (PT) in Pace, FL. Join our clinical team of 2 PTs, 1  PTA and 1 Full Time OT/CHT treating primarily orthopedic with some neurological disorders. Specialty areas include pelvic floor, concussion, prosthetics and orthotics, hand therapy, sports medicine, dry needling, fall prevention, vestibular, Golf Rehab/Screens, and POETs. 

    We provide outpatient preventative and rehabilitative services that maximize functionality and promote the well-being of our patients. We utilize a variety of evidence-based treatment and manual therapy techniques to create individualized treatment plans that help each patient achieve their specific goals.  Our work environment offers a great opportunity to provide skilled care to our patients and grow with the nation’s leader in outpatient physical therapy.

    Newly licensed PT graduates and experienced PT with recent outpatient experience, APPLY!

    Work schedule: M-F 9am to 6pm. 

     

    Compensation: Starting at $68,000/yr plus up to $20,000 sign on bonus. Starting salary increases with experience. Indefinitely student debt benefit program offered for this role!

    Responsibilities

    • Understand appropriate state practice acts and adhere to the laws which govern how physical therapists may practice and whom physical therapists may supervise.
    • Complete and maintain all corporate & clinical services required training and maintain compliance with state/local/federal regulations.
    • Evaluate, treat, and direct treatment for patients for whom physical therapy is medically necessary and document this need clearly.
    • Maintain open and respectful communication with co-workers, physicians, patients, family members, and third-party payors at all times.
    • Attend and/or participate in facility meetings as directed by the center manager.

    Qualifications

    • Must be a graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited school of physical therapy
    • Valid State Physical Therapy License/ Registration REQUIRED to start
    • Ability to work 40 hours per week with occasional late or early shifts to accommodate patients
    • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required.
