Physical Therapist - Nursing Home evaluates and treats patients suffering from a physical disability due to injury, disease, or surgery in a nursing home environment. Establishes treatment plans and treats patients using a variety of methods, including exercises, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and equipment to ease patients' pain and help them increase their mobility. Being a Physical Therapist - Nursing Home works cooperatively with physicians, case managers, and adjustors. Monitors, documents, and reports patients' progress. Additionally, Physical Therapist - Nursing Home may supervise physical therapy assistants, aides, and athletic trainers. Requires an advanced degree of Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT). Typically reports to a manager. Requires a state license to practice physical therapy. Physical Therapist - Nursing Home's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Adoration Home Health is growing, and seeking a full time Physical Therapist - DPT to join our team in Pleasant View, TN! The Home health PT will make intermittent home-visits to our skilled nursing patients in a particular area. Take this opportunity to further your career and apply today!

Responsibilities
• Perform physical therapy evaluation and treatment of patients based upon physician orders, including recommendation and procurement of adaptive equipment• Establish measurable goals and develop treatment plans to move patients toward their maximum level of independence and/or function• Maintain communication among the treatment team, physician, patient, and family members as applicable• Maintain thorough and timely documentation of services provided to ensure proper billing• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and Physical Therapy Aides in direct patient care and patient-related activities in accordance with state practice act
Qualifications
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from a college or university with an accredited Physical Therapy program• Must have a current, unrestricted license as a Physical Therapist in state of operation• Must have current BLS or CPR in accordance with state regulations • Minimum one (1) year of PT experience preferred
