Physical Therapist - Nursing Home jobs in Twin Falls, ID
Physical Therapist - Nursing Home evaluates and treats patients suffering from a physical disability due to injury, disease, or surgery in a nursing home environment. Establishes treatment plans and treats patients using a variety of methods, including exercises, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and equipment to ease patients' pain and help them increase their mobility. Being a Physical Therapist - Nursing Home works cooperatively with physicians, case managers, and adjustors. Monitors, documents, and reports patients' progress. Additionally, Physical Therapist - Nursing Home may supervise physical therapy assistants, aides, and athletic trainers. Requires an advanced degree of Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT). Typically reports to a manager. Requires a state license to practice physical therapy. Physical Therapist - Nursing Home's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Position Summary
Plans and provides physical therapy services to clients in their homes in accordance with the Plan of Care and Agency policies and procedures. The Physical Therapist performs functions that require substantial specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill.
Qualifications
- Graduate of Physical Therapy program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association, the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association, or the Council on Medical Education of the American and the American Physical Therapy Association.
- Possesses current registration or license as required by the state of Idaho.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a health care facility or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrates good written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.
- Licensed driver with automobile insured in accordance with state/Agency requirements. Good driving record and reliable transportation.
- Current CPR certification.
