Additionally, Physical Therapy Attendant helps maintain the treatment records of the patient. May perform various clerical duties such as greeting patients and scheduling appointments. Duties:
-Deliver inspired physical therapy treatments
-Dedicated to life long learning with weekly training sessions and technique reviews to help build confidence
- Assist physical therapists with patient care, including preparing treatment areas and equipment
- Assist patients with exercises and therapeutic activities under the guidance of a physical therapist
- Monitor and record patient progress during therapy sessions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and managing patient records
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with various treatment modalities such as exercise prescription and patient education.
- PTA degree
