Being a Physical Therapy Attendant may be responsible for the operation and maintenance of equipment. Prepares and sanitizes treatment rooms for the patients. Additionally, Physical Therapy Attendant helps maintain the treatment records of the patient. May perform various clerical duties such as greeting patients and scheduling appointments. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Physical Therapy Attendant works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Premier Physical Therapy is a local Physical Therapist owned practice located in Mill Creek, Washington. We are an outpatient orthopedic clinic dedicated to providing individualized quality care to our clients.
This position works under the direction of a licensed physical therapist performing patient care tasks including modality placement, and therapeutic exercise delivery. Duties may also include administrative tasks including helping with patient check in, scheduling and answering phones as needed. General office cleaning, room change over and clinic laundry are also expectations of this position.
The ideal candidate will be a team player who is able to multi-task and prioritize in a professional environment. They will also possess excellent communication skills and attention to detail. It is an ideal position for an individual considering a future in health care due to direct patient contact and on the job learning opportunities. This is a great way to earn hours for PT school application as well as letters of recommendation and help with grad school prep.
