Evaluates current physical therapy programs and investigates potential new or revised therapy programs to improve the quality of patient care. Being a Physical Therapy Director oversees budgeting, staffing, and the development and implementation of new physical therapy programs. Ensures the physical therapy division follows regulatory compliance requirements and standard procedures. Additionally, Physical Therapy Director typically requires a doctorate degree in physical therapy or equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Physical Therapy Director manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. 1. Work under the direction and supervision of the physical therapist.
2. Position patients on heat, ice, game ready and exercise equipment.
3. Set up modalities with patients.
4. Supervise patient exercises.
5. Sanitize treatment rooms, equipment and tables.
6. Monitor and restock supply inventory.
7. Perform laundry duties; washing, drying, folding and replacing linens.
8. Manage assigned therapist's schedule.
